On Saturday, November 6th, 92 entrants showed up to compete in Fresno City Councilman Mike Dages’s 7th Annual Flop ‘Til You Drop charity poker tournament. This year’s event attracted baseball great Jose Canseco, online poker superstar Shaun Deeb, KISS Country’s Gnarley Charley and 2010 Mrs. California-America Stephani Norville, as well as Fresno luminaries Mayor Ashley Swearengin, City Council President Larry Westerlund, Downtown Czar Craig Scharton, Councilman-elect Clint Olivier and many others. This year’s event raised a total of $19,450 for various charities and brought the total raised over that last 7 years to over $180,000!
Final table participants received money for their favorite charities and a commemorative Flop ‘Til You Drop jacket. Newcomer Evan Frost took home first place honors and $5,837 for the Hope Animal Foundation. Congrats to all the participants and final table winners!
